CSA shares
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs were first imagined to give farmers a reliable source of cash early in the season when they often have the most expenses and least to sell because our “season” starts when it’s still winter for everyone else.
My goal as your farmer at Speckle Farm is to build a community through our CSA program. I want to know which of your kids love peas, and which one dances ballet and what you’re striving and struggling to make a reality in your life. I want to see photos of meals made with the food I spend my life growing. I want to weave the farm into your life again the way a farm used to be weaved into the fabric of its community.
CSA is not for everyone! Take this survey and we’ll let you know if we think CSA is right for you. Our produce is also available at our farmstand.
We divide our CSA into three seasons.
Spring: April and may
Summer: June, July and August
Fall: September, October, November
We also offer one time test boxes throughout the season if you’re curious but not willing to commit to a whole season.
Each season a farm tour, and one class a month is included in your CSA
You will also receive a weekly email with information about what’s in your box, how to use it and how to store it AND information about upcoming farm events open to the public.
